This year marked the the 5th year for the Pennine Lancashire Festival. This cultural and food festival has become very famous over the years and is attended by at least a 100,000 people.
The Pennine Lancashire area is very famous for its retailers and restaurateurs, and that's what they focus to showcase in the festival. All the food retailers came together to put forward a huge array of food and drinks.
I think the festival was marvellous in portraying medieval markets and steam train lunches that showcased the culture, while providing delicious gourmet heritage tea and wholesome food proving how rich the area is in terms of professional food retailers.
The festival started on the 8th of August and ended on the 18th of September. It was a 60-event festival and was an exciting one at that, starting with Nigel Harworth's Fantastic Food show in Ewood Park in Blackburn.
